"Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God's grace in its various forms." 1 Peter 4:10
Interested in sharing your gifts with Bethel, Northfield, our world? Let us know how you'd like to get involved by completing this form.
Join us in making a difference in our church, community and around the world. Below are a few ways that we are involved:
Mission & Justice
Serving others in our church, in our community and beyond in the name of Jesus Christ is this committee's vision. The Mission & Justice Commtiee encourages and enables all to live out their baptismal and convenant daily; in school, in community, in the broader world community, in care of God's created order; knowing we are the body of Christ in the world!

Creation Care
Bethel's Creation Care Team teaches us to be faithful stewards of creation by promoting active care of the creation as integral to spiritual life and social justice. Several ways to become involved include:
|
Befriender Ministry
The mission of the Befriender Ministry is to educate, form, and support men and women as leaders for a listening ministry of care. Based on a model of mutuality, this national and ecumenical ministry heals hearts, energizes communities, and transforms a suffering world. If you are interested in having a Befriender call on you or becoming a trained Befriender please Marci Groenewold at (507) 649-3160 or email Marci at marci.groenewold@gmail.com. |
Companions
Bethel's Companions program are members who have a concern for people and a desire to reach out to anyone who may be feeling isolated or lonely. Our companion members are trained and are given a choice of accepting a call to visit an assigned person on a regular basis for 6-12 months or to just use the training in their personal lives. Please let us know if you would like a Companion to call on you or for our next training dates by emailing us.
These are just a few of the ways Bethel members reach out to others in our community and beyond. Please call or email the church office for additional information or if you are interested in joining any of the above.
