We are an active congregation that comes together for worship, learning and fellowship and to serve our community.
We aspire to share Christ's love with a big heart!
We are a Reconciling in Christ (RIC) congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America (ELCA).
Called by the Gospel of Jesus Christ, Bethel celebrates all people as children of God.
We welcome you: your age, ability, and education;
your race, ethnicity, and citizenship;
your sexual orientation, gender identity and expression;
your relationship status and family structure.
Your uniqueness is valued.
Your questions and doubts have a home here.
Our work of welcome includes loving, forgiving, and serving one another;
advocating for those who are marginalized and oppressed;
striving for racial equity and economic justice;
and caring for the earth and all of God’s creation.
We invite you to fully participate in the life of Bethel.
Bethel Lutheran Church stands on land that is the home of the Wahpekute band of the Dakota nation, whose people have been stewarding this land for many generations.
We regret the injustices done to them: unkept promises, broken treaties, forced removal from homes, and genocide.
So, with the Holy Spirit’s help, we pledge to repair relationships with our Indigenous neighbors by learning about their history, current stories, and public policies that have impacted and continue to impact their lives.
In doing so we commit ourselves to making inroads to interrupt systemic racism and helping to promote healing and justice.
